Study of Surya Namaskara (sun salutation)

How many times have you taken a yoga class and been surrounded by students struggling and fumbling through the sun salutation series? Each pose in surya namaskara is its own asana and has it's own intension with breath, is linked to the elements and chakras, and is meant to be steady and sweet when practiced.

In this next series of classes we will explore each pose and prepare for the entire set of asana in the sun salute. Including creating modifications for each individual if needed.

Due to some scheduling conflicts we are unable to continue our regular Thursday evening yoga class.However Shawn will be conducting yoga workshops lasting 4 to 6 weeks at a time at the same location.

If you are signed up on our email list (follow the link on our home page) we will send out emails informing you of what the theme for each series of classes will be and possibly have a choice of day and time for those interested in signing up. Classes will still be community based and there will be a suggested donation for each series based on the length of the workshop. If there is a particular yoga subject which you would like to study or an area of the body you wish to address email us and we will put together classes based on your needs. Stay well.
